HUUSH brings import, transcription, review, and export into one workspace. Smart Clean helps you find words to censor, and you can review and adjust every suggestion before exporting.
Will HUUSH find every unwanted word?＋
No speech recognizer or detector catches everything. Unclear audio, overlapping speakers, names, and slang need extra review. You can correct transcript text, add custom dictionary entries, and create censorship regions manually.
Can I use my own replacement sounds?＋
Yes. Import an audio file up to 30 seconds long, or choose a bundled sound. Set a default for new regions or choose a different replacement for a specific word.
What happens to background music?＋
Censorship affects the full audio mix during the selected region, including music and ambience. HUUSH does not separate dialogue from other sounds.
Which Macs does it run on, and do I need internet?＋
HUUSH requires macOS 26 or later. Recognition model availability depends on your hardware and selected language. An initial model download may need internet, but speech recognition and media processing stay local.
Are my videos private?＋
Yes. HUUSH processes media and recognizes speech on your Mac, with no server recognition fallback or media upload.
